Al Qasba Development Authority
With a mission to establish a strong tourist destination in an emirate already known for its cultural diversity, liveliness and vibrancy, the Al Qasba Development Authority was established in line with Decree No. 2 of 2004, issued by HH Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammad Al Qassimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah. The body`s chairmanship was entrusted to Her Excellency Sheikha Bodour Bint Sultan Al Qassimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Investment & Development Authority “Shurooq”, Chairperson of Al Qasba Development Authority and Deputy Chairperson of Sharjah Ladies Club. Administration takes place under the guidance of His Excellency Marwan Jassim Al Sarkal, the Authority’s Chief Executive Officer.

Abra (Wooden boat rides)
A relaxing ride under the stars in a traditional boat is a wonderful way to unwind with your loved ones. And that is exactly what Al Qasba has planned with its exciting itinerary as the fun destination makes the most of its waterfront location by offering visitors a tour of the lagoons.
The boat ride offers a panoramic view of the walkways, bridges and some of the cultural attractions and modern skyscrapers of the emirate of Sharjah, transporting you into the past and instantly taking you to the future at the same time.

Al Qasba Musical Fountain
Watch the water dance!
Magic happens at Al Qasba. Visitors to the site will be truly entranced by the spectacular displays of the Musical Fountain. Water cannons, pyrotechnics and lighting combine to create stunning effects as arcs of water leap and dance in time to a symphony of sound. Displays take place throughout the day and carry on into the evening. But no two are ever the same - the water shifts and changes shape constantly. This makes for great family viewing, either from the ground or even better, from the nearby Etisalat-Eye of the Emirates. We promise you’ll be delighted and amazed.
