Do’s and Don’ts of First Time Visit to Dubai

Dubai has now become the tourist hub in the middle east and every year millions of tourists visits Dubai to spend some quality time with friends and family members. Dubai is not only a rich country financially but it is also a very rich in culture, traditions and diversity. More than 180 countries people lives in Dubai and that makes Dubai a very special place to visit. Dubai has lot to offer and one will never become bored once he will be here for vacation. But there is some important information that you should know before you make your plan to visit dubai.

Getting a Visa:
Some countries have visa on arrival and some don’t. So before visiting you should do your research whether your country has visa on arrival for dubai or not. If you are a traveler from USA then you don’t need visa. For united states, dubai has a policy for visa on arrival.

Which Time to Visit:
This is a question one should ask before making the plans to visit dubai. In summers, there will be a scorching heat and it is very difficult to go outside. So if you don’t like hot summers then it is not perfect time to visit. November to march is the perfect time to travel because temperature is between 20 to 35C. At evening, mostly cool breezes blow and you can really enjoy your time outside.

Where to Stay:
Once you reach here then next you should think about where to live. You have many options to choose from it. You can either lives in hotels and you can rent apartments for short term. If you are on budget then rent an apartment would be a good option to choose, because luxury hotels are expensive here. You can search for apartments on Airbnb or opt for services like holiday homes dubai to get good deals, like from Keyone Real Estate Dubai you can get good deals on holiday homes. You can stay near to burj al arab, dubai marina, palm jumeirah and burj khalifa. These are the favorites places among tourists.

Transportation:
For getting around the city, you also have many options to choose. You can either opt for taxis which are by the way quite expensive especially if you want to travel far away. For budget travelers, I think metro buses, trams and buses are some good options to choose. They are also cheaper than taxis, so it is wise to travel around the city by using these means. Hop on and Hop off buses are one of the best ways to experience the main attractions of the city.

Dress Code:
In general Dubai is an Islamic country, but when it comes to your fashion, they are not strict like other countries. Expats and tourists can wear regular clothes of their choices and you can see women and men wearing shorts in public. Women wears bikinis in some designated beaches. But I will recommend you to respect the local sensitives and avoid wearing clothes that are not appropriate for their senses. Specially, if you visiting mosques like Grand mosque then try to wear proper clothes and cover yourself with hijab or abaya.

Language:
Official language of dubai is Arabic, but because of more than 180 countries people lives there, so there is no thing like language barrier. People can understand English very well there, so you will not get lost there.

Food/Cuisine:
Dubai offers variety of food to tourists. You can enjoy delicious food from countries like, Pakistan, Indian, Bangladesh, Arabic, Philippines and other nationality cosines. Food is very cheap and delicious there. Once can enjoy a delicious meal in few dollars.

Final Thoughts:
Dubai is an amazing place to visit once in a lifetime. City offers to many attractions and diversity among cultures is astonishing there. One can enjoy the breathtaking view from burj khalifa, burj al-arab. Dubai also has some of the best shopping malls and water attractions parks. One should go for desert safari and enjoy the amazing view and local dances.
