Sharjah Ruler launches personal website
His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah announced the launching of his new personal website. The announcement came during the Gulf Alumni Dinner 2010, hosted today by the University of Exeter at the Dr Sultan Al Qasimi Centre of Gulf Studies.
The new site offers a more comprehensive biography of Sheikh Sultan since he became the Ruler of Sharjah in 1972. It also features his academic certificates, honorary doctorates awarded to him, awards, history writings and literary works.
The website has an interactive multimedia section which contains video library, photo albums and excerpts from the books authored by Sheikh Sultan.
Sheikh Sultan said: "Size wise, Sharjah may look as a very small city, but its heart is very large that it can absorb the whole world. It is a large city in terms of love for humanity and good." He continued by saying: "We believe in the value of science when harnessed for the service of the mankind and their welfare. We are grateful to science and technology that enabled us to communicate easily and to get an answer to all question with just a button click."
