Are Private Chartered Jets Overtaking Business Class Flights?

For years, flying in business class has been a quintessential part of working in high-powered roles. Going from A to B for a premium price seemed like just the thing to do ahead of a big meeting with a major overseas client. However, it seems that the business class flight may be going out of fashion.

Even with recent innovations in on-board technology and in-flight entertainment, the lure of flying first class isn’t what it used to be. Much of what comes as standard with business class tickets is also available to those passengers flying in economy class. The seats, catering and space aren’t that different.

The difference between flying business class and first class is marginal. Some commentators recently suggested that flying first class was a waste of money, hinting at many business passengers considering their options.

Different Destinations

If you live in a part of the world where you can only fly business class to a few destinations, your options are limited. The prospect of changing flights two or three times in the same trip is a wearying prospect. This is where private chartered jets can provide a more convenient alternative.

For the discerning, time-pressed business traveller, hiring a private jet may seem extravagant. However, doing so is practical for so many reasons. In hiring a private jet from Victor, you can fly to and from smaller, provincial airports. If you have a client who are not based in a major city like London or Dubai, going private can save you from changing or boarding a train.

Private charter jets also have the advantage of being smaller and lighter than their commercial equivalents. This should mean saving on the cost of fuel and not having to deal with annoying younger passengers!

Greater Provision

One tell-tale sign that private jet hire is growing in popularity comes from Luton Airport in the UK. A budget airline has opened a terminal just for private jets, offering flyers the chance to avoid using economy, business or first class terminals. Other airports are likely to follow suit if the move by Luton Airport is a success.

Hiring a private chartered jet for upcoming business trips makes sense for group travel. It doesn’t necessarily involve hiring a jumbo jet, with smaller airliners boasting no more than eight to 10 seats. For any companies with multinational operations, it looks like private chartered jets are the way to go for flying employees between one office and another.
