The Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), together with delegates from a number of other Sharjah authorities, will be taking part in a forum as well as organising a roundtable discussion as part of their participation in the 2012 Global Entrepolis Singapore (GES), which will be hosted by the Singapore Business Federation from 23-25 October.

Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Qassimi will lead Sharjah’s delegation to the event.

Set to take place on the second day of the conference, the panel discussion forms part of the session called ’Hot Sectors in Emerging Markets’. Sponsored by Shurooq, the session will explore opportunities in nine emerging regional economies, including the UAE. The focus of the discussion will be on Sharjah, which is currently the second fastest growing economy in the UAE and the country’s third largest contributor to GDP after Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

After welcoming remarks from Chairman of Sharjah Media Corporation Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmad Al Qassimi, the discussion will be opened by Ambassador of United Arab Emirates to Singapore Mohammad Ahmad Al Qubaisi.
