Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, Member of the UAE Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, endorsed by the Ministry of Environment and Water in the UAE and Greenpeace, and hosted by Bee’ah, the Forum for Environmental Change will gather royalty, government officials, decision-makers from ministries, power and electricity companies, municipalities, environmental agencies and waste management centers from around the MENA region at the Green Middle East Exhibition & Conference 2013 on 28th – 30th October 2013 at the Expo Centre Sharjah.

Arab celebrity, composer, television personality, philanthropist and United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) Goodwill Ambassador, Ragheb Alama, has confirmed his attendance as one of the key speakers at the Forum for Environmental Change this October.

“Ever since his appointment as the ambassador on climate change for the Arab world, Alama has put his popularity at the service of the environment combating pollution and promoting environmental protection and sustainability. We are confident this year Green Middle East will be the most credible show in MENA offering trade visitors an array of content from experts and leaders in the industry” said Mr. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

At the Forum for Environmental Change, Alamah will present a keynote speech spreading awareness about the importance of the environment and how to preserve our natural resources for future generations.

In 2010, due to Alama’s success and the huge impact he has had on the younger generation, and following his promotion of environmental causes in one of his albums, he was named the United Nations Ambassador for Climate Change.

The Forum for Environmental Change is organized by IQPC, and supported by MEFMA, Sharjah Electricity and Water authority, Emirates GBG, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, IPWA, The UAE Business Council for Sustainable Development, WBCSD.

Green Middle East exhibition will take place from 28th to 30th October at Expo Centre Sharjah and the timings are from 10am to 6pm daily. Admission is free for trade and professional visitors only.
