The young ladies participating in “Beautiful Pages”, a competition recently launched by Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, attended a workshop on Fashion Design, during which they learned the fundamental techniques of fashion design, stitching and turning their fashion visions into reality. Each young lady was asked to design a unique piece with ideas inspired by the books she read during “Beautiful Pages” competition. The style and design of the dresses will be tailored in the next few days.

As part of a series of workshops held for the contest, the two-day Fashion Design workshop comes right after the success of the “Book Summary” workshop. Coinciding with the ‘Year of Reading 2016’ initiative in UAE, “Beautiful Pages” competition aims to promote the culture of reading among young girls and inspires the young generation to read more books.
