Sharjah Crown Prince inaugurates Innovation Week in Sharjah

H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council, has directed that an Innovation Award be launched at which he will honour the best three innovations presented by the participants as part of UAE Innovation Month in Sharjah starting next year. This was stated during Sheikh Sultan’s inauguration of the UAE Innovation Month in the emirate, at the University City Hall on Saturday.


Sharjah Chamber attracts more than 5000 new members in 2018

The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) has announced that 5178 new companies have joined the chamber in 2018. which represents a 7.4% growth in the total number of members when compared to the previous year. This increase in membership reflects the competitive advantages offered by the emirate of Sharjah to attract foreign investment, and the innovative services provided by the chamber to its members in the business community. The number of certificates of origin issued by the chamber during 2018 reached 93851, which indicates the chamber’s success in sustaining the growth of the commercial sector, a key component of the emirate’s economy and a key part of Sharjah’s economic diversification plans.
