Explore the astonishing hidden world of the deep sea life

This museum sheds lights on marine life which formed a major part of Sharjah's heritage. The sea played a key role in the development of coastal cities and was the primary reason for their development over 6,000 years ago.

Here, you can explore traditional wooden seafaring dhows used for fishing, trading and pearling, each designed according to their use. You will get the opportunity to contemplate the beauty of the genuine Arabian pearls collected by our ancestors from the deep blue waters of the Gulf, and admire the magnificent sparkle they managed to retain from the moment they were extracted from their shells ages ago. Visit Sharjah Maritime Museum to explore the exciting diving world and the traditional fishing methods, and to learn about the trading and diving adventures in the UAE’s old days.
