Al Qasba, the premier tourist, leisure and cultural destination in Sharjah, celebrated the UAE's Month of Reading by hosting the ‘Read to Create’ event in collaboration with the Emirates Creative Society. The event was aimed at motivating children and young people to read, aligning with the national strategy, to foster a culture of reading among members of the society and the new generation.
Between 5:00 – 10:00 p.m., visitors enjoyed their time in various interactive activities that focused on unleashing their potential and developing their intellectual and physical capabilities. The event’s programme included drawing and colouring corner for kids and a ‘free reading’ corner.
Participants learnt about the recycling techniques and benefits at the ‘Recycling Corner’, while the young ones were taught general safety procedures and how to react in different emergency situations in life, at the ‘Safety Corner’.
The ‘Story Teller’ corner took people on an interactive journey to the magical world of classic stories that awakened their imagination and taught them moral values.
